Just a quick one here.
I spent nearly 10 years at Nebraska, and one group that I spent a fair amount of time working with and that never gets a lot of acclaim is the marketing department. They do a good job. Now, I didn’t always agree with the themes they came up with nor did I always think the coaches were right to worry about some of the themes they shot down either. And there were times I was completely wrong on my line of thinking. But I tried to see both sides and overall thought more often than not that there were some pretty good campaigns they put together.
Anyway, this is a little something I saw on the web late last week that I thought I’d share and let any of my marketing friends decide what my response would have been had they put something like this together.
(NOTE: There were only a couple things that I actually really disagreed with over almost 10 years. All of them combined don’t even come within a mile of this thing. And it’s pretty unfortunate the school involved considering my current living situation, but I won’t hold it against the new state school.)
Ouch.
That is painful. And about 4:25 too long.
And really Mark Richt?
Then again, I am no longer surprised at the things the people associated with admission think are ‘cool’ or even enjoyable.
If I was a high schooler and Georgia was a college I was looking at, this video would seal the deal. I would NOT be attending Georgia.
