Six-7 Offsuit

Just living life and tossing out opinions. Isn't that enough?

Run Down

Pretty simple. I’m a guy just living life. These are my thoughts, with a few quotes from morons sprinkled in for fun.

As some background, I lived my dream working in college athletics for 14 years. It wasn’t work. It’s more like going to the candy store, being told you can pick anything you want to eat and then they pay you to leave. In other words, it’s every fat kid, stat geek’s wet dream.

That dream’s over though. As of July 31, 2010, I trekked halfway across the country for the third time in my life, although this time I did it without a job or any prospects. I had a sugar mama backing me (for now), so that’s something.

Come here frequently and read about how I got through that “freelance” time and what I think about life in general.

Oh, and you’re likely to read about sports. All sports. I don’t discriminate. Well, unless you want to count women’s basketball. And then no, I’m not going to talk about that. But I will talk about football, and fantasy football and the Cubs and college basketball and poker and NASCAR and beer. Hell yes, beerpong is a sport.

What you see is what you’ll get. That’s why my backup name for this blog was Life Unwashed. But that sounded dirty, not in the kinky kind of way, but the boring kind. And what good is that?

So enjoy.

[Editor’s note: After four months of sitting on my couch all day with my cats and gradually losing my Man Card, I got a job in late November 2010. And it’s a pretty good one doing some pretty cool shit still related to sports. So while I will drive sugar-mama crazy with the “You made me leave my dream job and move across country…” line until she’s 70, I do think it’s all turning out pretty good.]
