This one has to be quick. I’m putting a 13-minute time limit on what I write because I need to get supper started.

No, sugar-mama isn’t cracking the whip that much. Sure, she’ll want to eat when she gets home, but this one is on me. I finally got a good run in, hitting 5 miles in just under 48 minutes this afternoon, and now I’m freaking starving.

So I’ll write this real quick and then go make sugar-mama some food. She deserves it too. She’s my bestie for a reason and it’s because of things she does like today.

I got up this morning and did my usual. I edited and turned in my weekly volleyball feature story for NCAA.com and then worked on a story for my basketball column that starts next week on CollegeChalkTalk.com. (If you’re not following either, 1) you’re not alone and b) start. Please. Help a brother out here).

So as I was getting that basketball story done, I get an email from sugar-mama. She wanted to tell me that she talked to her friend at work and she got me the name of her tattoo artist and where she was located.

How many wives will go out of their way to help a fella find a good tattoo artist? In my mind, none. She’s the best.

So luckily I was done writing most of my stuff for today (minus tomorrow’s NCAA.com blog, which I just wrote). Being finished with everything that I had on my schedule allowed me to sit around and play on the Internet, trying to figure out what the next tattoo will be.

I’m thinking about adding to the one on my right arm. I currently have this one, which is almost four years old.

I got it done on 9th Street in Lincoln (not giving the name because I don’t recommend the dude anymore) right before Christmas in 2006. We had played Oregon at the Rose Garden in Portland the night before and we came home on Sunday morning. I ran over right after we got home and got it done. He had the drawing ready and, after one minor change, had it on my arm and I was done in less than 50 minutes.

I’m not totally set on what I want to get added to it. I’m thinking about doing a big collage with a horse shoe, dice, Lucky 7s, poker chips, all that kind of stuff. But the most important thing is now I have a place to go. It’s here and I’m pretty pumped.

Now I just have to get a job to afford to pay for it. Hopefully I’ll have some news on that front soon, but who knows?

Okay, I’m at 11 minutes, so I’ll go ahead and add this.

For anyone who thinks maybe I’ll go overboard on another tattoo (or tattoos), I might. We’ll see. But I definitely won’t go this overboard. For the record, even I think this dude’s off his rocker.
