Today wasn’t typical. Well, it was in the sense that my ass is sore from sitting on a chair in my office in front of a computer from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. just writing stories. So it was typically boring in that sense.
But it wasn’t typical because sugar-mama was home.
She had worked late last night (I went to bed around 12:30 and she was still working) and then she was up before me like normal this morning. The only difference is she was already working from home. She’s way more productive than I am in that sense and that’s good because some times her work seems to demand that she be flexible and work from home for a reason. Unlike some people who would rather not [sarcasm intended].
Anyway, she was here today and that made things odd. There were noises from outside my office every now and then. I’m not used to that anymore. I’ve kinda turned in to a social idiot and just like to be left alone. I don’t want noises. Can’t stand to talk. Really like to be left alone. That’s probably not a good thing. Well, it’s not that bad, but still, you get the picture.
With her home though, it made me feel a little more like I was actually at a work instead of at a home. So of course to make it feel more like I was really at work, I spent a lot more time goofing off and playing around on Twitter, Facebook, The Heckler, etc., etc. It gave me some good reading material like this great piece.
I don’t know anything about this guy, but I do know for a fact that I saw the now-famous Tiger-hitting-his-ball-at-the-camera picture from the Ryder Cup about 20 minutes before it really exploded on my Twitter feed. And I know I thought the same thing: “Damn, that guy really could replace Brenly.”
I also thought that now we just need to find a theme song for the telecast and then it wouldn’t matter what the team did.
Well, the theme song was potentially supplied by someone else who was obviously jacking around at work today before posting this on her Facebook. Anyway, I think this should be used as the intro for all Cubs telecasts next year.
I mean, it’s pretty appropriate right? Anyone who is a Cubs fan understands this really is a bad romance, but there’s nothing to do but come back for more. What is it? Only about 140 days still spring training starts? FML.
